A New Avenue of Ministry

In March 2020, the world witnessed unprecedented circumstances with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Individually and collectively, we experienced turbulent change in our lives, leading us into a new era of adaptation. Though technology and online spaces were utilized far before this time, the pandemic situation largely propelled us into a new avenue of ministry.

Now, years later, the use of online spaces has lingered, has become a normalized addition to all facets of life. It has further integrated itself more substantially into our workplaces, schooling and ministry, despite the gradual return to in-person gatherings and use of physical spaces over the past few years.

The March 2024 issue of Canada Lutheran goes through the ever-changing landscape of post-pandemic ministry, including the many challenges and triumphs when dealing with technology and an online form of worship. Explore this and much more from recent journalism grad Sarah Malina.
