In 2021 plans were proceeding for a second joint Assembly between the Anglican Church of Canada (ACC) and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC) to be held in Calgary, July 2022. However, the world was struggling to find its way through the COVID-19 pandemic. Face-to-face activity of any sort was seriously curtailed and creative ways to get things done were emerging that depended heavily on the Internet.

The June 2023 issue of Canada Lutheran takes a quick look back upon the 2022 Special Convention, while looking ahead to Assembly 2023 in Calgary, Alberta in late-June to early-July.
