LuMinHoS was founded in 1980 by clergy who saw a need for consistent spiritual care for Lutherans from around the province who were admitted to Saskatoon hospitals. It began as the Lutheran Care Society. Ten years ago, it was renamed to Lutheran Ministry in Hospitals of Saskatoon (LuMinHoS). It is an inter-Lutheran ministry which supports a full-time hospital chaplain.
