On the evening of January 25, 2024, 28 community members from various churches around town gathered in joy at St. Olaf, Swift Current, to be part of the inaugural Drive, Pray, Bless event in our community.
Those participants were put into small groups made up of members from different churches to drive around the city and stop at 34 locations to pray for the staff, volunteers, ministries and work being done in each of the buildings. The locations consisted of 18 churches, seven schools, the hospital, both RCMP stations, the fire hall, the ambulance service, City Hall, MLA and MP offices, as well as the community fridge.
It was a very special evening of coming together across denominations to end the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.
Lord, give your people in our community a spirit of unity as we follow you, so that with one heart and mind we may work together for the good of our city and glorify your name. Amen.—Val Choo-Foo
