Re: Improving Relationships with Indigenous Peoples, Our Church in Mission, April/May 2015, p.6.

In 2009, KAIROS lost funding from the now no longer existing Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Perhaps it would be good for the government to reconsider this decision and restore the funding.

I quite agree with Margaret Sadler that there is still a lot of work to be done and the recommendations that the TRC’s final report makes are just the beginning. There is still more to be done for the Indigenous peoples, especially in the areas of their rights, education, social programs and economic development, to name a few.
