A Great Mission

I am glad that the ELCIC is committed to the mission of Project Ploughshares. I believe the organization advances policies and actions to prevent war and armed violence and build peace. I have now placed my name on the mailing list of Project Ploughshares and only regret not having done so earlier.

More often than not there is too much talk and less of action. The time has now come to move from inaction to action and from mere words to deeds. Project Ploughshares is to be commended for its efforts in diffusing tension and making a significant contribution towards establishing a durable global peace.

As the magazine of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, the mission of Canada Lutheran is to engage the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada in a dynamic dialogue in which information, inspiration and ideas are shared in a thoughtful and stimulating way.
