Ever since Jesus began his ministry, some of the people living in the Holy Land and Jordan have followed his way. In that region, their descendants continue to remain faithful to this day. Among them are the members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land (ELCJHL), a member church of The Lutheran World Federation (LWF). The ELCJHL places major importance on building peace in the region.
